Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting, that was developed to allow a smaller person to defend themselves against a larger adversary using posture and technique.
Kickboxing is a collection of stand-up combat sport based on kicking and punching, historically developed from Karate and Muay Thai.
Karate is predominantly a striking focused martial art using punching, kicking, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open hand techniques. In some modern styles grappling, throws, joint locks, restraints and vital point strikes are also taught.
Judos most prominent feature is its competitive element, where the objective is to either throw or takedown an opponent on to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdues an opponent to submit, with a joint lock or a choke.
Wrestling is a grappling based combat sport involving techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins and other holds.
Boxing is a combat sport, usually wearing protective gloves and mouth guard, which focuses solely on hand strikes.
Mixed Martial Arts is a combat sport that combines all of the above martial arts to make combat both striking and grappling, on the ground and on your feet
